With this trip, Raisin and I have now visited all 10 provinces. Not bad for a little rescue pug from a high kill shelter in Michigan. I had to make a choice to get to The Rock. Take the 8 hour ferry from Cape Breton, then drive across the province to St. John’s. Or fly.
I chose to fly. WestJet allowed the pugs in cargo. They are not service animals or emotional support dogs (although I think all dogs provide emotional support) So they could not go into the cabin with me. Plus, I could only take one in the cabin the she had to fit under the seat. So I packed them into their crate and off they went.

We landed safely. I took them out of the crate and let them walk through the airport. They came bouncing out of the crate ready to rock and roll. We landed around 7 pm. Picked up our rental car and headed to the hotel. We were staying at the Delta.

Because it was off season (and that she adored the pugs) the Delta person gave us a great room. It was on the 10th floor with a great view of the harbour. Gave the pugs a short walk outside. We were tired so just had a quick meal at the hotel and went to bed.
