Cape Breton Highlands National Park

The park itself is huge with 4 campgrounds to choose from. I decided on Ingonish. It had the trail that led to the Atlantic ocean.

Also it allowed me to drive the whole Cabot Trail on the next day. It had been a long drive from Shediac with breaks along the way. I setup the tent as soon as we got there. The pugs sniffed around the campsite and then settled in.

After her nap, Raisin was wondering about dinner.

Then it was time to achieve our bucket list goal – to dip the paws in the Atlantic Ocean. Needless to say they were “thrilled” with the idea.

We then spent some time on the beach watching the waves. We were just far enough away from the waves to make Dublin happy.

After a big day on the beach, Raisin and Dublin settled in for an after dinner nap.
